NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" for the second week nipped Fall Out Boy's "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" for the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100. This is the ninth week "Irreplaceable" has enjoyed the top position. "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" was No. 2 and topped the Top Digital Songs tally, both for a second week. Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" maintained the No. 3 spot for a second week. Daughtry's "It's Not Over" moved up to No. 4 from No. 6 while Akon's "I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg slipped from fourth to fifth. The week's biggest gainer was Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape," which soared from 19th was sixth on the Hot 100, followed by "Runaway Love" by Ludacris featuring Mary J. Blige, which rose from 11th to seventh.
Crowe to play Sheriff of Nottingham
Hollywood star Russell Crowe is set to play the Sheriff of Nottingham in a new Robin Hood film. The movie, called Nottingham, will be a "revisionist" take on the age-old story. In a role reversal, it will portray the Sheriff as the good guy investigating a series of murders in which Robin is the suspect. Screenwriter Ethan Reiff told industry publication Variety: "He's trying to do the right thing but he's up against Robin Hood, who's becoming heroic while not necessarily acting in the .
Education foundation gives $51,299 to public schools
The Barrington Education Foundation (BEF) recently awarded more than $51,000 for new items in the town's six public schools. The foundation provided funding for 18 grants; technology grants comprised the largest group of awarded proposals, followed by literacy. The foundation is a non-profit organization of volunteers which supports and enriches Barrington Public Schools. Founded in 1992, the foundation has raised and awarded over $600,000 to fund a wide range of programs, technology and materials through an annual grant cycle. The foundation relies upon its two annual fundraising events, its popular rubber ducky race and the BEF Telethon, as well as donations from individuals and United Way donations. In addition, the foundation was the recipient of $12,000 contribution from the CVS Charity Classic Golf Tournament.
